Okay, this monstrosity was clever. Yeah. Merely it'southward too filled with body-shaming and just some unpleasant stuff.

(view spoiler)[I was actually hoping it would finish with something like:

My beaver is fine just the fashion it looks,
If you don't like information technology, I'll smack you with my books!

Instead it was highly predictable in that she had it "groomed" and of a sudden everyone is happy with it. (hibernate spoiler)]

I had this book recommended to me past a friend, who hoped I would read and review Bimisi Tayanita's handful of "children's stories meant for adults". This was the first I found and devoured it, pardon the pun, in a few short minutes. Brenda has a beaver that appears to be out of control. Wherever she goes, it seems to be the centre of attending, more for its bushy coat than for any other reason. Wherever she goes, it seems to be the eye of attention, more for its bushy coat than for any other reason. While Brenda cannot understand why, her friends arbitrate and help her notice that a trimmed and tended beaver, while much smaller, tin can be just as great and much more manageable. Full of double entendre, it forces the developed reader to recount this story to a child, who will likely non get the allusion, with a straight face. Well paced and total of pitfalls that will surely create laughter or the odd eyebrow heighten! Sorry, Neo... we will not exist adding this to our joint reading venture.

Kudos, Madam Tayanita, for this insightful piece. I will read every bit many as I can. I needed a laugh while on isolation.

Information technology'due south one of those children's books that isn't a children'south volume merely looks like a children'due south book... and is really only funny to adults who bask this brand of sense of humor. I'd recommend it as a gag gift for a bachelorette political party or something forth those lines.

Information technology's a kind of cute story for those who don't get the jokes. It'south a make clean-read if you don't get the jokes. I've only read 2 other books of this type (by other authors). This one is better than those. A friend shared this book with me. The book is somewhat controversial, entertaining, and is a comedy. The drawings are practiced.

The beaver is, umm, fluffier than bodily animal ones I've seen in the wild, which I assume is on purpose because of what information technology actually represents. (Whatever female "manscaping" is called. The Internet has only angry answers to that question. Delight pardon my lack of knowledge.) The volume isn't relevant to me or my own life. It's very much aimed at women. Brenda's goal, I believe, is for her and her beaver to expect a certain mode in a swimsuit. Some friends assist with this befitting. Trimming gives Brenda and Beaver more conviction and pride, in the book. So the theme is most plumbing fixtures in. And it does agree a mirror upwardly to society because some people are harsh judges of... unkept beavers in swimwear. I have heard others make such comments amid themselves. So there does exist a group in society who cares virtually this topic. (I'm not in that grouping. Only you do you. Whatever.)

If inadvertent adult sense of humour is your thing, and so you'd probably enjoy this book.

Lots of double entendres. While this is not a kids book it is easily mistaken for one. It is funny but the bulletin is one to adapt - a hairy beaver is bad. Also not a skillful idea to have wild animals as pets. I see and get the humour with information technology which is why it is ii stars rather than ane.

I saw this volume shared in a series of Facebook posts and my beau and I laughed our heads off reading it together. Information technology's very inappropriate which is what makes it fun and hilarious.

This isn't really a children'southward book but I feel like almost children will miss the double entendres (and so it should be OK for them to read this) which means this would be a really funny volume for the entire family to read together (and brand storytime more fun for the parents).

I happened to catch this on Facebook, on i of my group pages. I read it considering I thought at that place was no mode that this volume could possibly exist virtually what I think it's virtually. It is nearly that. It's clever and funny in its ain way, but ultimately, I didn't like it. Why should Brenda care what anyone else thinks? I'g all about cocky-empowerment these days. To me, this book but furthers the standardization of beauty and the normalization of peer pressure. Merely be unapologetically you.

Brenda's Beaver Needs a Barber is one of those developed humour books that exists simply to give y'all a laugh. The book is one big double entendre, guaranteed to get a chuckle out of y'all.

As much every bit I enjoyed it, I practice have a minor peeve with it. I wish the ending had been less conformist, as there were plenty of good chuckles that could have come from a dissimilar catastrophe.

Nonetheless, worth information technology if you want a quick laugh.
